In order to properly assess the area, the physiotherapist will need to see and test the area to enable a correct diagnosis to be formed and sometimes over garments may need to be removed with your consent. It is recommended for patients to bring shorts for any lower limb assessments, and for upper limb/neck and upper back problems, a strappy/sleeveless top is worn for female patients.
If for religious or personal reasons you are unhappy to undress, please inform your physiotherapist. It will not affect your right to treatment, although the assessment and some treatments may need to be adapted.
Please ask us if you would like a chaperone for your session
